REALTOR® Safety in a Rural Environment

This REALTOR® Safety course focuses on the unique risks associated with working in rural environments. Participants will explore common hazards and threats and learn practical mitigation strategies to reduce risk, including safety considerations related to weather, animals, insects, terrain, fencing, and aging or dilapidated properties.

Gary Homer

Gary Homer is a decorated U.S. Army veteran with more than 22 years of service. During his military career, he completed some of the Army’s most demanding leadership and tactical training, earning distinctions such as Pathfinder, Airborne, Air Assault, and Ranger badges. He served as an instructor in advanced law enforcement and firearms training, teaching U.S. service members and federal agencies including the FBI, Secret Service, and CIA, as well as foreign militaries around the world.

After retiring, Gary continued training protective service teams for the Department of Defense. Now working in real estate, he brings his expertise in safety and preparedness to help agents better protect themselves, especially in rural environments.
