Hometown Heroes

It’s not every day you see REALTORS® in the news for their acts of kindness or heroism. But two REALTORS from Joplin are getting the media attention they deserve for saving a family of three (with a baby on the way) and their dog from their burning home. Get the whole story here and be sure and send Bonnie Wright and Susi (Suzette) Yust a note via THE LANDING.

We know REALTORS, by the nature of their work, are deeply involved in their communities. We know you are all heroes in your own town and more times than not your work goes unrecognized. Well, we want to change that. The Missouri Good Neighbor Award is a way to honor and recognize REALTORS that are doing “good” in their community. Nominate your co-worker that is always inspiring you to do more. Or, nominate yourself. The award is a way to not only shine a light on the good you are doing, but also to support the charities you are doing it for. The winner of the Missouri Good Neighbor Award will receive $2,500 for his or her charity and a chance to compete at the national level for a $10,000 grant.

In addition to the monetary rewards, your charity of choice will receive media exposure for their cause. It could be your face or the people you help on that TV screen. Like Bonnie and Susi, you may not consider yourself a hero, but somebody in your community does. Get the Missouri Good Neighbor Award nomination form on our website. The deadline to apply is September 6.

Leave us a comment about heroic acts by REALTORS in your hometown.

Til next time,

Rupert

We are so proud of these two agents who won't allow others to call them heros, but only angels. I am so grateful to know these two amazing women.
