They educate, serve on panels, volunteer and facilitate industry discussions. Their philanthropic efforts are inspiring, and the difference they are making within their communities is significant. Our Leadership Spotlight series highlights these efforts and introduces some of our wonderful members.
This month, we are shining the Leadership Spotlight on Michael Jacques.
Michael Jacques with The Jacques Company has proven time and time again his dedication to serving the Greater Springfield area as both a committed REALTOR® and leader. Michael's professional endeavors and his commitment to community exemplify his spirit of leadership and service.
As a Missouri REALTOR® State Director, Michael's track record speaks volumes. Since 2013, he hasn't missed a single Missouri REALTOR® Business Conference, demonstrating his steadfast dedication to the Association and the industry. And as recognition of his hard work and exemplary leadership skills, Michael was selected for the 2016 Missouri REALTORS® Leadership Academy.
Over the years, Michael has assumed various leadership roles at the state level, contributed his expertise to numerous Output Groups, and chaired several Committees. Currently serving as the Vice Chair of the Member Engagement Mission Committee, Michael spearheads initiatives aimed at fostering stronger connections among members through innovative media and engaging events.
Michael has earned widespread recognition and accolades from his peers. Notably, he's been honored with multiple awards from the Greater Springfield Board of REALTORS®, including the prestigious President’s Excellence in Service Award, the Salesperson of the Year Award, and the Margaret Martin Cooperative Spirit Award.
At the state level, Michael's contributions have not gone unnoticed. In 2018, he won the Missouri REALTORS® Ambassador of the Year award, celebrating his outstanding commitment to advancing the Association's communication and member engagement goals. In addition, he has a 100% success-rate serving as an Ombudsman with our Mediation Committee.
On the NAR level, he is especially grateful to be serving as the current chair of NAR’s AEC Volunteer Leadership Advisory Board, as well as being an NAR Director.
In the real estate world and beyond, Michael is committed to creating a sense of community in his city. This commitment is especially reflected in his extensive volunteer efforts, spanning decades of service to various faith-based organizations and community groups.
