Leadership Spotlight: Kimberly Turner, Esq.

Missouri REALTORS® are so much more than just real estate professionals. They dedicate their time to serving on school boards and running for elected positions. They educate, serve on panels, volunteer, and facilitate industry discussions. Their philanthropic efforts are inspiring, and the difference they are making within their communities is significant. Our Leadership Spotlight series highlights these efforts and introduces some of our wonderful members.

This month, we are shining the Leadership Spotlight on Kimberly Turner, Esq.

Kimberly Turner, with Worth Clark Realty, serves the St. Louis and St. Charles areas as both a dedicated REALTOR® and leader. Additionally, Kimberly works with her mother as Co-Leads of The Turner Team REALTORS®, practicing in residential and commercial real estate. Together, they enjoy hosting community events and seminars to teach others about the power and process of homeownership, selling properties, building homes, and investing in real estate. Her professional endeavors, as well as her dedication to volunteering and uplifting the St. Louis community, underscore her commitment to her neighbors, social justice, and an equitable and inclusive American Dream of homeownership.

Since Kimberly attended her first Missouri REALTOR® Business Conference, her involvement and leadership within the Association has skyrocketed. In 2023, Kimberly was appointed as a Missouri REALTOR® Director. She also actively participates in various Output Groups. Most recently, Kimberly was appointed to the 2024 Missouri REALTORS® Advocacy Committee and was selected for the 2024 Missouri REALTORS® Leadership Academy, a training program designed for emerging REALTOR® leaders.

In the real estate world and beyond, Kimberly is driven as a practicing attorney. As the Managing Member of The Law Office of Kimberly Turner, LLC, she focuses on Estate Planning to protect and advise her clients to have a legal legacy. Her profound passion for advocacy and education leads her to participate in and organize various service initiatives. Kimberly volunteers for the Supreme Court of Missouri Committee on Civic Education, a group that educates the community about the judiciary, the judicial system, and constitutional rights. Kimberly is also involved in the Citizenship Education Committee of the Missouri Bar, where she organizes and facilitates youth civic competitions and community educational presentations. By empowering people in her community with knowledge and skills in civic engagement, Kimberly helps create future leaders.
As a Consultant, Kimberly works with Alive & Well Communities and the Regional Health Commission to organize and facilitate community workshops about self-care, toxic stress, and being trauma informed. These workshops help to improve the community.

Her commitment to leadership and community betterment is also proven by her participation in the Focus Leadership St. Louis Cohort from 2022 to 2023. This program immersed Kimberly in a nine-month curriculum where the group explored issues affecting the St. Louis region, such as economic development, racial equity, education, criminal justice, poverty, immigration, and arts and culture. She was also a member of the Missouri Bar Leadership Academy from 2018 to 2019 as one of thirteen young attorneys across the state to become leaders in the Missouri Bar. Both Focus Leadership and Missouri Bar Leadership Academies provided Kimberly and her peers with the tools, resources, and connections to lead effectively in their personal, professional, and civic roles.

Kimberly serves within the A.M.E. Zion Church locally, statewide, and nationally as the Voter Registration Coordinator for the Missouri Conference, past Co-Chair of the Political Action and Welfare Committee, and past Chair of the Social Action Committee Millennials. She is an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, an international non-profit organization dedicated to public service through sisterhood, scholarship, service, and social action. Furthermore, with the National Council of Urban League Guilds' Advocacy Committee, Kimberly led meetings and National Virtual Town Halls on social justice and civil rights issues. She was awarded the National Council of Urban League Guilds Power Broker Service Award in 2018 for her Urban League and community work. She is a dedicated advocate for equity and empowerment within her community and beyond.

The work that Kimberly Turner does as both a REALTOR® and a leader in the St. Louis area makes her community a better place. Through her volunteer service that promotes education, civic engagement, and social justice, Kimberly exemplifies her commitment to building a more inclusive and equitable future for all.
