Missouri REALTORS® are so much more than just real estate professionals. They dedicate their time to serving on school boards and running for elected positions. They educate, serve on panels, volunteer and facilitate industry discussions. Their philanthropic efforts are inspiring, and the difference they are making within their communities is significant. Our Leadership Spotlight series highlights these efforts and introduces some of our wonderful members.
This month, we are shining the Leadership Spotlight on Dan Hartman.
Dan Hartman, a real estate professional and leader hailing from the Kansas City Regional Association of REALTORS®, sets himself apart through his community engagement and active participation in the REALTOR® world. We applaud Dan for his unwavering commitment to both personal and professional development, as well as his dedicated efforts in supporting and guiding others within the industry.
At Missouri REALTORS®, Dan is currently serving a two-year term with the Strategic Planning Committee and is the Vice Chair of the Advocacy Action Output Group. His involvement in state-level Advocacy spans an impressive four years, during which he has also served as a State Director.
Dan is currently a Director of the Missouri chapter of the REALTORS® Land Institute. In this capacity, he contributes to the advancement of land real estate professionals statewide. The organization serves as a hub for real estate professionals seeking to enhance their expertise in various land-related activities, such as land brokerage, agribusiness, land management, planning and development, appraising, acquisition, and land auctions.
In 2023, Dan achieved a significant milestone by graduating from the 20th Missouri REALTORS® Leadership Academy. This program identifies individuals whom the Association recognizes as future leaders poised to make significant contributions to both the real estate industry and their local communities.
At the local level, Dan is currently in the midst of a three-year term on the Board of Directors for KCRAR, a commitment that extends until 2026. His past contributions include serving as the Chair of Advocacy for KCRAR, as well as serving as an RPAC Trustee.
Dan's community engagement extends well beyond his real estate work. In April 2023, Dan secured a four-year re-election to the Board of Alderman for the City of Smithville, affirming his ongoing commitment to public service. Concurrently, he actively participates in the city's Finance Committee and Parks and Recreation Committee. Serving as the President of Smithville Rotary through 2024, Dan extends his leadership beyond civic responsibilities. Additionally, Dan is a Deacon at Grace Community Church.
Dan was recently honored with the Smithville Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year award in 2023. This recognition highlights his standing as a community leader and a dedicated advocate for real estate initiatives.
Dan Hartman stands out as a dedicated leader, continuously striving to enhance his real estate expertise and uplift his community. Whether immersing himself in committee responsibilities for our Association or generously volunteering his time for community and client service, Dan's commitment is truly praiseworthy. At Missouri REALTORS®, we applaud his efforts and are excited to see the positive impact he will continue to make on the broader real estate industry.
