As your 2024 Missouri REALTORS® President, I’d like to thank you for taking time from your business to join Missouri REALTORS® and your peers from around the state to discuss trends in our industry, opportunities for our association, and developments within our great state of Missouri at our recent Winter Business Conference.
We had over 400 Missouri REALTORS® members, affiliates, and sponsors in person in St. Louis. Following governance meetings and educational offerings, members participated in the Opening General Session on Tuesday afternoon. Helping us kick off the conference were members of the Missouri REALTORS® Leadership Team, where they spoke on key initiatives for 2024. Wednesday began with additional governance meetings followed by the Emerging Issues Forum. During this session, members heard from NAR General Counsel Katie Johnson about class action lawsuits targeting the practice of cooperative compensation within the real estate industry, including the status of the Sitzer v. NAR case that was tried in Kansas City earlier this year.
We concluded the evening with Inaugural Night, which was an absolute honor on my part. The following officers were sworn in as members of your 2024 Leadership Team: Bobbi Howe, President-Elect; Brian Jared, Treasurer; Brent Sager, Treasurer-Elect; and Andrea Sheridan, Immediate Past President. The Missouri Women’s Council of REALTORS® also swore in their esteemed 2024 leadership team. I would like to congratulate Gerrie Moore on her installation as the 2024 President of the Missouri Women’s Council of REALTORS®.
In addition to the above, I had the honor of being installed as the 2024 President of Missouri REALTORS® by mentor and 2011 President of Missouri REALTORS® Joyce Thomas. Watch the full Inaugural Night recording.
