Louie Layton

Louie Layton

Louie Layton is the Director of Business Development for Meridian Title. He got his start in the real estate industry as a kid in Monett, MO helping his father build custom homes. Out of necessity for his family, and with the help of a judge, Louie acquired his first property in 1992 at just 11 years old! After high school, Louie attended Rockhurst University, where he graduated in 2004 and planned to work towards a law degree. While interning for his uncle's law firm in Springfield and trying to decide where to attend law school, he began a lawn and landscaping company and started building a few spec homes in his uncle's subdivision nearby. Since he and his family would be building and selling homes, it just made sense for him to get his real estate license rather than attend law school. He thrived in the industry, began purchasing rental homes in 2006, and decided to sell his lawn business in 2007 to focus solely on real estate. The following year brought about many changes, including Louie expecting a son! This is also when he jumped into the title industry and has been working in business development for title companies ever since. Louie continues to own rental properties and still enjoys the hustle and bustle of business development in the real estate and title industry. When he's not working, he enjoys traveling and mountain biking.
