H2H (or Human to Human) media is getting a lot of buzz in the marketing and social media world lately. As business men and women in the human-relation field, you should pay attention. Yes, technology is moving at a fast pace. My advice to keep up: bite-size pieces.
So here is one for you. Google+ Hangouts.
Earlier this week we had some of the leading industry experts from across the country join us at our Region IX Retreat in Branson. (Find out what you missed from our Region IX Vice President Elizabeth Mendenhall.) These industry leaders span across the country from California to New Jersey. You might be thinking about how pricey it was to bring them in for a two-day event. We didn’t. We used Google+ Hangouts and it was free! Elizabeth moderated a nearly one hour panel, hitting on hot topics like big data, technology trends, organizational change, and the future of the real estate industry. And the panelists participated from their home or office. Meanwhile those in the audience (either watching from the Retreat or on their computer at home) could be a part of the conversation by submitting questions and comments using our Twitter hashtag, #NAR9.
Sound like an interesting discussion? You didn’t have to be there to enjoy it. You can watch the video recording right now.

Google+ Hangouts aren’t hard. All you need is a computer or device (phone or tablet works) with a built-in camera and microphone, an Internet connection and a Google account. (If you have a Gmail account, this counts.) Hangouts can be private or live on-air with the ability to broadcast through YouTube.
Hangouts can be used for education, business meetings, association committee meetings, or to connect with a buyer from another state.
Business is changing. You no longer have to be in the same room with someone to have a face-to-face conversation. Sometimes it’s just not possible. Google+ Hangouts allow for human to human interaction via the web. Real estate is and always will be a relationship business, but you now have easy to use tools that can extend how those relationship encounters might occur.

We will be offering more education and information via Hangouts. We hope you will join us!
