RIP Stephen Covey

This week we lost someone who has influenced many by his teachings, including me. Stephen Covey died at the age of 79 from complications caused by a bike accident.

As he was best known for writing "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People" as well as other books that drew on these principles, Covey has been instrumental in changing many people and the many organizations in which those people lead.

I came across this blog post which I found very enlightening coming from a man who knew Covey personally. For those who have read Covey's works, maybe you (like me) will take time to revisit his words and figure out where they fit in your life and organization today.

It is a bummer that sometimes it takes a death to cause one to take action. My guess is that Stephen Covey would be happy that people have taken time to reflect on his passing as a time to re-visit personal and organizational growth.

'Till next time

Russ
