Our Leadership Spotlight series celebrates these dedicated members and highlights their contributions to both the real estate industry and their communities.
This month, we shine the spotlight on Chris Cole from Southeast Missouri REALTORS®. As a licensed attorney and real estate broker, Chris brings years of experience in both commercial and residential real estate to his work.
Chris works as Managing Broker and Principal at Lorimont Commercial Real Estate in Cape Girardeau, where he leads a top regional commercial real estate brokerage. The firm handles sales, leasing, and consulting for office, retail, industrial, mixed-use, multi-family, and commercial development properties. He also serves as Managing Broker and Legal Counsel at Edge Realty, which has four office locations, 125 affiliated licensees, and over $400 million in annual sales.
Chris is also committed to education in the real estate industry. He owns 1st Choice Real Estate School, offering both in-person and online Missouri pre-license and continuing education courses. He previously taught real estate finance courses at Southeast Missouri State University. As a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) Designation Holder, Chris continues to expand his professional knowledge.
Chris shows his leadership in the real estate industry as 2024 President of Southeast Missouri REALTORS® and current 2025 Immediate Past President. He also serves on both the Commercial Forms Committee and Residential Forms Committee for Missouri REALTORS®.
Beyond his work, Chris gives back to his community. He served on the Board of Directors for the American Red Cross Southeast Missouri Chapter from 2015 to 2017, where he served as Chair. He also serves on the Board of Directors for Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Southeast Missouri, which helps children in the foster care system.
