Missouri REALTORS® are so much more than just real estate professionals. They dedicate their time to serving on school boards and running for elected positions. They educate, serve on panels, volunteer and facilitate industry discussions. Their philanthropic efforts are inspiring, and the difference they are making within their communities is significant. Our Leadership Spotlight series highlights these efforts and introduces some of our wonderful members.

This month, we are shining the Leadership Spotlight on Carol Duke.

Hailing from Lake of the Ozarks, Carol Duke stands out as both a dedicated REALTOR® and a respected leader. Carol's involvement with both Bagnell Dam Association of REALTORS® and Missouri REALTORS®, as well as her community service initiatives, underscores her commitment to making a difference. We celebrate Carol for her efforts in personal and professional growth, as she strives to make herself, her community and her industry better.

Here at Missouri REALTORS®, we get to see Carol’s commitment to the real estate industry up close and personal. Carol has served on state level committees, including the Risk Management Committee, Residential Forms Committee, and Grievance Committee. Notably, in 2020, Carol graduated from the Missouri REALTORS® Leadership Academy, a training program designed for emerging REALTOR® leaders.

At the local level, Carol served as President of the Bagnell Dam Association of REALTORS® in 2022 and as the Vice President and Treasurer in the years prior. From 2019 to 2021, she led her local chapter of the Women’s Council of REALTORS® as President. Her impact in these organizations is unmistakable, reflected in her recognition as the recipient of both the REALTOR® of the Year award from her local association and the Missouri Women’s Council of REALTORS® Member of the Year award in 2021.

Carol’s hard work doesn’t stop with real estate. As an active and engaged community member, Carol cares deeply about her neighbors and the place they all call home. This is especially evident through her volunteer work with Kiwanis Club of Bridgeton from 2008 to 2012. Kiwanis is renowned for its efforts in empowering communities to create positive, lasting changes in the lives of children. In her first year, Carol established the Bridgeton Young Professionals of Kiwanis and served as President until 2010. In 2009, Carol was named the Bridgeton Young Professionals Kiwanian of the Year. Carol's leadership left a lasting impression, ensuring a brighter future for generations to come.

Carol’s dedication to volunteering extends beyond Kiwanis. Today, she contributes to several local organizations, such as the School of the Osage, Kids Harbour, Missouri Special Olympics, and Camp Wonderland. Carol also volunteers for local cleanup initiatives, including shoreline cleanup and highway cleanup.

Carol Duke isn't your average REALTOR®—she's a dedicated leader, continuously striving to up her real estate game while uplifting her community. Whether she's generously giving her time to serve her community, her industry or clients, Carol's dedication is remarkable. At Missouri REALTORS®, we are excited to see the positive influence she will continue to have on the real estate world.
