They educate, serve on panels, volunteer and facilitate industry discussions. Their philanthropic efforts are inspiring, and the difference they are making within their communities is significant. Our Leadership Spotlight series highlights these efforts and introduces some of our wonderful members.
This month, we are shining the Leadership Spotlight on Kalan Hubbard.
Kalan Hubbard, a REALTOR® with Hubbard Realty Group, serves the Joplin community. As an outstanding real estate professional and esteemed leader, Kalan distinguishes himself through active community engagement and participation in various professional committees. We commend Kalan for his commitment to personal and professional development as well as his unwavering dedication to supporting and guiding others within the industry.
Here at Missouri REALTORS®, we have the privilege of witnessing Kalan's unwavering commitment to the real estate industry up close. Beyond actively engaging in various committees, he has assumed leadership responsibilities. In 2024, Kalan is set to lead as the Chair of the Strategic Planning Committee and concurrently serves as a member of the Budget and Finance Committee.
Furthermore, Kalan is actively engaged in the Missouri REALTORS® Leadership Academy, a training program designed for emerging REALTOR® leaders. His participation reflects his commitment to building up individuals who will positively impact the future of Missouri REALTORS®, their Local Boards/Associations, and the broader industry. This year, Kalan also took on the role of a Leadership Academy Alumni Retreat Leader.
When it comes to advocacy opportunities, Kalan regularly supports and volunteers for various RPAC initiatives. A notable highlight from 2022 and 2023 was his role as the Auctioneer for the State RPAC Auction. This, coupled with his major RPAC donations, showcases Kalan’s profound dedication to the RPAC cause.
This year, Kalan has taken his REALTOR® knowledge on the road and shares his wisdom with entrepreneurs across the country. Specifically, he hosts workshops on "The Entrepremarriage™ Code", or the art of striking a balance between entrepreneurial success and maintaining a thriving relationship as a spouse.
In terms of community involvement, Kalan leads SWMO Partners in Education, an organization dedicated to supporting educators both within and outside the school environment. He volunteers with local elementary schools through character visits, donning costumes of historical figures like Abe Lincoln and Johnny Appleseed. At the high school level, Kalan is in the classrooms, discussing careers and addressing "real-world" challenges with students. Additionally, he organizes movie nights and trivia events for the local teaching community.
Kalan's dedication to volunteering extends beyond SWMO Partners in Education. Over the past 8 years, he has contributed to several local organizations, such as the Ronald McDonald House, the Water Gardens Outreach and Ministries homeless shelter, CLASS, Ltd (an organization supporting adults with disabilities), and the Home Builders Association Foundation. Kalan also volunteers for local conservation initiatives, including public waterway cleaning.
Kalan Hubbard isn't just a REALTOR®—he's a standout leader, consistently seeking opportunities to level up his real estate game and elevate his community to its very best potential. Whether it's dedicating himself to committee work for our Association or volunteering his time to community and client service, Kalan's efforts are truly commendable.
