Columbia, Missouri – Nate K. Johnson of St. Louis, Missouri, has been named recipient of the Missouri REALTORS® 2023 Richard A. Mendenhall Award.
Richard A. Mendenhall, a past president of Missouri REALTORS® and the National Association of REALTORS®, has been a role model for REALTORS® at the local, state, and national levels throughout his entire career. This award recognizes an individual who, through career-long contributions, exemplifies Richard’s leadership skills, commitment to service, and enthusiastic “spirit”.
Johnson received this award on Wednesday, September 20 during the Missouri REALTORS® Fall Business Conference.
Serving as a licensed REALTOR® since 1999, Johnson continues to be active in the real estate industry at the local, state, and national levels. In addition to volunteering his time to numerous boards and committees, Johnson serves as president of the board of directors for the Metropolitan St. Louis Equal Opportunity Housing Council as well as a past president of the St. Louis Association of Real Estate Professionals. Johnson also served as president of St. Louis REALTORS® in 2011 and as president of Missouri REALTORS® in 2018. In 2021, Johnson was named REALTOR® of the Year by Missouri REALTORS®.
At the national level, Johnson is a past chairman of the National Association of REALTORS® Smart Growth Advisory Board and Sustainability Advisory Group. He also served as the 2020 liaison for Federal and Public Issues. Johnson has been appointed to serve as the National Association of REALTORS® vice president of Advocacy in 2024.
Johnson has been a REALTOR® Party Action Committee (RPAC) Major Investor since 2007, a Golden R since 2008, a President’s Circle member since 2016, and is an RPAC Lifetime Trustee.
In addition to Johnson’s local, state, and national involvement, he trains REALTORS® across the country on a variety of topics including Fair Housing, Smart Growth, Ethics, and Leadership.
