Columbia, Missouri – Larry Keating of Jefferson City, Missouri, has been named the recipient of Missouri REALTORS® 2023 Bruce Aydt Code of Ethics Leadership Award.
Bruce Aydt, a past president of Missouri REALTORS® as well as a National Association of REALTORS® Distinguished Service Award recipient, has been a role model as a REALTOR® leader at the local, state, and national levels throughout his entire career. This award recognizes a REALTOR® who has been a role model in professionalism while engaging in activities such as offering advice and counsel on the Code of Ethics, teaching the Code to other REALTORS®, serving on grievance and professional standards committees, or embodying the central concepts of honesty, integrity, competence, and fair dealing as outlined in the Preamble to the Code.
Keating received this award on Wednesday, September 20 during the Missouri REALTORS® Fall Business Conference.
Serving as a licensed REALTOR® since 1981, Keating has continued to exemplify professionalism while making significant contributions to the real estate industry. In addition to volunteering his time to numerous boards and committees, Keating served as president of the Jefferson City Area Board of REALTORS® in 2000 and as Missouri REALTORS® president in 2005. He also served as the National Association of REALTORS® Region 9 regional vice president in 2010.
Keating has been a REALTOR® Party Action Committee (RPAC) Major Investor since 2005, a Golden R and President’s Circle member since 2008, and is an RPAC Lifetime Trustee.
In 2021, Keating was awarded real estate’s highest honor as a recipient of the National Association of REALTORS® Distinguished Service Award. REALTORS® who receive the award have shown exceptionally meritorious service for at least 25 years and have been recognized as local leaders whose performance and involvement in political and community activities have been extraordinary.
