Missouri REALTORS® are so much more than real estate professionals. They dedicate their time to serving on school boards and running for elected positions. They educate, serve on panels, volunteer, and facilitate industry discussions. Their philanthropic efforts are inspiring, and the difference they are making within their communities is significant. Our Member Spotlight series highlights these efforts and introduces some of our wonderful members.
This month, we are highlighting Ozark Gateway Association of REALTORS®' (OGAR) member Melissa Annis. Serving as a licensed REALTOR® for 21 years, Annis, a REALTOR® with Keller Williams Realty Elevate in Joplin, Mo., has proven her dedication to the real estate profession by volunteering her time to numerous boards and committees.
Locally, Annis served as President of the OGAR in 2013 and facilitator of the local Leadership Academy. In addition to her association involvement, she continues to give back to her community by volunteering each year to help multiple charities through KW Red Day, residing on the Planning and Zoning Commission for her home town of Webb City for the past five years, and volunteering for various charitable activites that pop up throughout the year.
At the state level, Annis serves as a State Legislative Coordinator and State Director for Missouri REALTORS®. She also serves as 2022 Chair of the Commercial Output Group and Vice Chair of the Commercial Forms Committee. Most notably, Annis was named Missouri REALTORS® 2022 REALTOR® Salesperson of the Year for her demonstrated commitment to REALTOR® ethics and cooperation, activity within the local, state, and National Association of REALTORS®, advanced education and professional designations, community service, and sales volume.
We celebrate Annis for not only her commitment to the real estate industry but for giving back to her community!
