Bobbi runningMissouri REALTORS® are lucky to be surrounded by so many different people, from clients to fellow REALTORS®. The real estate industry is full of amazing individuals who are dedicated to their clients, their communities and their colleagues. Every Missouri REALTOR® has a unique story to tell, and our Member Spotlight series is our chance to share the stories behind the REALTORS®

This month, we are shining the Member Spotlight on Bobbi Howe

Bobbi Howe, a member of the Kansas City Regional Association of REALTORS® (KCRAR), holds many leadership positions within Missouri REALTORS® and the National Association of REALTORS®. At the state level, Bobbi is the current Chair of Strategic Planning, and she sits on the Finance Committee and Board of Directors. At the national level, Bobbi is the immediate past chair of the Strategic Thinking Advisory Committee, and she sits on the Board of Directors.

In addition to her work for Missouri REALTORS® and NAR, Bobbi is also the president of KCRAR. Bobbi co-founded the state’s YPN chapter, and in 2010, KCRAR asked her to help start their local network. Bobbi has continuously supported YPN and even chaired the NAR YPN at one point.

Bobbi began her career in real estate as a young professional: She was 18 years old when she got her license. Bobbi’s mom was a REALTOR® and Bobbi grew up helping her mom with her business. In fact, Bobbi credits real estate with helping her find her voice at a young age.

“When I was a junior in high school, I had the opportunity to attend Missouri Business Week at MU, which was sponsored by Missouri REALTORS®. My life forever changed in that week,” said Bobbi. “I went from being shy and introverted to being completely outgoing and finding myself. I came back as a volunteer my senior year of high school, and as soon as I was old enough, I became involved with Missouri REALTORS® so that I could be an adult volunteer at the camp.”

Bobbi is a second-generation REALTOR®, but her experience in real estate is all her own. After she volunteered with Missouri Business Week, a fellow REALTOR® suggested that Bobbi apply for the Missouri REALTORS® Leadership Academy. Bobbi is a member of the 2007 Leadership Academy class, which helped propel her into so many leadership roles within the association.

Bobbi is also a leader within her community. She sits on the Board of Directors for Big Brothers Big Sisters St. Joseph and helps raise money for the ChadTough Endurance Foundation, which uses marathons to raise money for pediatric brain cancer.

If you’re in the community spotlight or know someone who is, let us know. We’d love to shine our Missouri REALTORS® Spotlight on you!
