There were four big wins for Missouri REALTORS® this past week in Jefferson City.

SB 36:
Immunity for real estate licensees reporting information about the size or square footage of a property they obtain from a source other than themselves or the seller of the property was voted out of the Senate Committee on Professional Registration and placed on the Senate Perfection Calendar.

HB 106:
Similar to SB 36, HB 106 has been assigned to the House Committee on Judiciary. This hearing will take place in the next couple of weeks.

SB 28:
The Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) reform was taken up for perfection on Wednesday, February 13. The original bill capped tax credits at 50% of the federal credit; the Senate Committee Substitute provided for 70% of the federal credit. A proposal to provide 5% additional funding to workforce housing was also brought forward. The Senate perfected the bill at 72.5% of the federal credit which is a significant win for LIHTC, but must still pass the House.

HB 215:
Reforms in Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) have been assigned to the House Committee on Financial Institutions. We expect a hearing shortly.
