In 2020, it’s all about the VISION! And Missouri REALTORS® demonstrate that vision when they ADVOCATE, LEAD, & ENGAGE! As your 2020 President, I can’t adequately express how excited I am to work with you in continuing our REALTOR® Vision this year.
For those of you who don’t yet know me, I’m a lifelong resident of Springfield and my ‘day job’ is working as Senior Vice President of Market Development for ReeceNichols Real Estate. Having served as leadership in a more local capacity, first as President of the Southern Missouri Regional MLS in 2015 and as President of the Greater Springfield Board of REALTORS® in 2016, I have learned the importance of our three key values and what they mean to our members and the public alike. On the state level, I’ve spent a lot of time in the REALTOR® advocacy arena and I fervently believe that our duties to our clients don’t end at the closing table – they extend to the hallways of our state and national capitols.
Of our three key values, we will focus on ENGAGE while we kick off the year at our January Business Conference in wonderful St. Charles. Because so many of us are engaged due to the encouragement and support we received from key colleagues in our organization, I hope we can really dig in and discuss what we can do better as an organization (and as individuals) in reaching out to our fellow REALTORS®, supporting their growth within our industry, and letting them know how very much we want them to be a part of our association. I hope you’ll join us in St. Charles!
In addition to engaging REALTOR® members, we will focus on advocating and leading. Our REALTOR® Party continues to be the voice for real estate in Missouri and the American Dream of homeownership. Further, we will continue to lead our industry in our adherence to, and promotion of, our professional standards and our Code of Ethics.
As my term begins, I’d like to thank you for the opportunity to serve as your 2020 President. I look forward to working with you to accomplish our 2020 Vision and letting Missouri, and the entire country for that matter know, That’s Who We R.
