Leadership Spotlight Denise Pittman

Missouri REALTORS® are so much more than just real estate professionals. They dedicate their time to serving on school boards and running for elected positions. They educate, serve on panels, volunteer and facilitate industry discussions. Their philanthropic efforts are inspiring, and the difference they are making within their communities is significant. Our Leadership Spotlight series highlights these efforts and introduces some of our wonderful members.

This month, we are shining the Leadership Spotlight on Denise Pittman.

Denise Pittman, from RE/MAX Jefferson City, is a Missouri REALTOR® and devoted volunteer for the Fatima Archery Club since its inception in 2016. The club is dedicated to teaching high school students how to work through the mental and physical challenges of becoming an expert archer.

As an assistant coach, Denise has grown the Fatima Archery Club exponentially from 11 archers the first year to 56 archers in the 2021-2022 season. Her main focus is mindset, asking the student archers to push themselves outside of their comfort zone, test the limits of their abilities and work stronger as a team while refining skills as individuals. In fact, as a tremendous supporter of the National Archery in the Schools Program, coaches from other schools in the area recruit Denise to teach mindset lessons to their archers.

Denise’s dedication to the Fatima Archery Club has resulted in tangible displays of success. Since the start of the program, the club has climbed from low shooting scores to earning top spots at almost every local tournament. They’ve ranked in the Top 4 in the State Competition, Top 10 at the National Tournament and have sent students to the World Competition, claiming top honors there as well.

In addition to her training and mentorship to the high school student archers, Denise also spearheads funding initiatives for local programs. She is the Chairperson of the Whitetails Unlimited Buck Fever Chapter based in Loose Creek, MO. The organization sponsors an annual banquet for over 450 individuals and businesses. Fifty percent of proceeds are used to purchase archery supplies for several local private and public schools. Since the chapter’s creation, they have raised and placed over $200,000 worth of equipment and supplies back into the community.

We celebrate Denise Pittman for her commitment to the real estate industry and to her local archery community. The mental and physical lessons she provides to these high school students is invaluable and stretches to all aspects of their lives.
