Columbia, Missouri – Taking place March 5-7 at Big Cedar Lodge in Branson, Missouri REALTORS® hosted the 2022 National Association of REALTORS® Region 9 Conference. This conference is an annual state collaboration between Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma. Missouri currently hosts this event every four years.
Focused on educational and networking opportunities, REALTORS® learned how cutting-edge technologies, business practices, latest industry news, and NAR resources could benefit their business and clients. “Region 9 has a long history of outstanding leadership,” said Missouri REALTOR® and Region 9 Regional Vice President (RVP) Brenda Oliver. “By attending this retreat, REALTORS® are helping keep that tradition alive.”
The event kicked off Saturday evening with a welcome reception at Top of the Rock. Sunday was full of educational and networking opportunities, including an economic and housing forecast with the National Association of REALTORS’® (NAR) Vice President of Demographics and Behavioral Insights, Dr. Jessica Lautz. In addition to an insightful session with NAR First Vice-President Tracy Kasper of Idaho, members heard from four NAR candidates during the NAR Candidate Forum. Candidates included Greg Hrabcak and Craig Stanford for NAR Treasurer and Daryl Braham and Kevin Sears for NAR’s First Vice-President.
To conclude the day's events, members participated in a special auction to benefit the REALTOR® Political Action Committee (RPAC) and REALTORS® Relief Foundation. In total, $4,700 was raised for RPAC and $4,100 for the REALTORS® Relief Foundation.
Monday began with words of wisdom, followed by a presentation from Missouri REALTORS® 2022 President John Mayfield. The day concluded with a presentation from Elizabeth Mendenhall, 2010 President of Missouri REALTORS® and 2018 President of the National Association of REALTORS®. Attendees enjoyed various networking opportunities.
Over 160 REALTORS® from across the region were in attendance for the conference.
