American flags in a neighborhood.
If you’re hosting the Fourth of July festivities this year, the pressure is on. Since a lot of us missed out on the previous year’s barbecues, pool parties and firework shows due to safety precautions, we are expecting an all American, all out extravaganza with food, drinks and decorations to match.

To help out, we have curated a list of patriotic decoration ideas that will leave your houseguests feeling extra proud to be an American this weekend!

A Patriotic Front Porch
This is a fantastic opportunity to turn the entrance of your home into the perfect patriotic display. Add some red, white and blue pops of color with patriotic flower pots, plants, wreaths, hanging lights and more! If you have a red, white or blue front door, even better!

An American Flag Banner
DIY your very own flag banner to drape above your dining room table, around your pool or next to your front door! Just purchase some miniature American flags, remove the wooden sticks and use clothespins to attach the flags to a piece of twine or ribbon.

Some All-American Bunting
Speaking of DIY opportunities, here is another patriotic project to take on! Purchase several yards of star-spangled fabric, gather the fabric about every two feet and secure the gathers using red, white or blue yarn. Attach the yarn to porch rails and enjoy!

Fourth of July Florals
Fourth of July decorations can be as simple as a fun, locally-sourced floral centerpiece. Just make sure to request a big bouquet full of red, white and blue blooms from your favorite flower shop!

Red, White and Blue Paper Lanterns
Looking for a unique dining table set-up this Fourth of July? Think: Red, white and blue lanterns. String up an assortment of patriotic paper lanterns above your table in a layered pattern to create a dimensional, America-themed look.
