Missouri REALTORS® are so much more than just real estate professionals. They dedicate their time to serving on school boards and running for elected positions. They educate, serve on panels, volunteer and facilitate industry discussions. Their philanthropic efforts are inspiring, and the difference they are making within their communities is significant. Our Member Spotlight series highlights these efforts and introduces some of our wonderful members.
This month, we are shining the Member Spotlight on Larry Kolb.
Larry Kolb, from Kolb Properties, dedicates an extensive amount of his free time to serving the Jefferson City community. He is a leader, a philanthropist and an essential member of the Missouri REALTORS® family.
Some of Larry’s most notable philanthropic work has been with St. Mary’s Hospital of Jefferson City Foundation, an organization he has worked with and led for a number of years. Since 2006, he has been the foundation’s president, vice president, secretary-treasurer and a campaign chair. Larry has secured substantial donations and attended conferences on behalf of the foundation. His commitment to St. Mary’s Hospital of Jefferson City Foundation for the last 14 years is a truly remarkable accomplishment.
As the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce’s Civic Progress Committee and a member of the City’s Housing Authority Board, Larry is dedicated to implementing community development initiatives for the Jefferson City area. His efforts have largely contributed to the preservation of the city’s most historic homes, as well as the revitalization of several Jefferson City neighborhoods.
Larry has also played a substantial role on the Bicentennial Bridge to the Island Project, an effort to connect people of Jefferson City directly to the Missouri river. This project wouldn’t be possible without Larry’s extraordinary fundraising.
Larry’s contributions to his alma mater, Helias Catholic High School, and the local 4-H chapter do not go unnoticed either. Because of his commitment to the betterment of Jefferson City, it comes as no surprise that Larry has donated an exceptional amount of time and money to the future of the city, the kids.
We celebrate Larry Kolb for his commitment to the real estate industry, to numerous philanthropic initiatives and to a prosperous Jefferson City community.
