2021 REALTOR® Days Recap

Missouri REALTORS®,

We’re excited to announce that over 200 REALTOR® members from 18 Local Boards/Associations throughout the state attended our annual REALTOR® Days in Jefferson City, early February through mid-April. REALTOR® Days are small group visits to the capitol every Tuesday and Wednesday during the state legislative session. It’s an opportunity for REALTORS® and association leaders, along with local leadership academies and governmental affairs committees, to come together and communicate with elected officials.

Throughout this session, legislators heard directly from REALTOR® members on issues important to the real estate industry and how current and proposed legislation will impact their district. 2021 legislative priorities include License Law legislation, allowing real estate licensees to maximize their ability to take advantage of tax benefits already afforded to other Missouri small business owners; opposition to any changes to current statutes related to Low-Income Housing Tax Credits; and support of adopting MONA (Missouri Nondiscrimination Act). Missouri REALTORS® continues to urge the General Assembly to extend protection against discrimination in employment, housing, and public accommodations to all.

You can learn more about our 2021 legislative priorities by visiting REALTOR® Days & Legislative Visit Resources. We hope you’ll also take time to view event photos highlighting REALTOR® Days.

As always, we would like to thank all Local Boards/Associations, along with their respective leadership academies and governmental affairs committees, for taking the time to advocate for industry-related issues. For additional information related to REALTOR® Days, contact Erin Hervey, Vice President of REALTOR® Party and Local Board Relations, at erin@morealtor.com.

Sincerely,

Missouri REALTOR® Party
