It was great to see so many of you at the Fall Business Conference in Chesterfield, where over 400 members attended in-person and virtually! I share several highlights below and in my latest video update.
We began the week with governance meetings and educational opportunities. That afternoon, we officially kicked off the conference with the Opening General Session where Lori Robertson, speaker and speaker coach, shared Lead with Story: Your Superpower for Influence & Impact. It was a fantastic session and tied in perfectly with this year’s theme, “It’s YouR Story.” If you didn’t have a chance to watch the Opening General Session, I encourage you to do so.
On Wednesday, following output group and committee meetings, we hosted our Annual Meeting & Awards Ceremony and Leadership Academy graduation. This very special event highlighted not only our 2022 award recipients but also our 18th Leadership Academy class. Watch the recording of this exciting session!

We hosted our ever-popular Emerging Issues Forum. We heard from Jeff Pinkerton, Director of Economic Research at the Missouri Department of Economic Development, and Dr. Lawrence Yun, Chief Economist and Senior Vice President of Research for the National Association of REALTORS®. Together, they spoke on what’s happening with the economy, while providing a national and local perspective on the state of the economy and what we can expect in the coming months. The conference concluded Thursday morning with our Board of Directors meeting. During this meeting, Brian Jared, a member of the Greater Springfield Board of REALTORS®, was elected to serve as Missouri REALTORS® 2024 Treasurer. As a member of your 2023 Leadership Team, Brian will begin his service this coming January as 2023 Treasurer-Elect. Lastly, I’d like to thank each and every one of you for allowing me the opportunity to serve as your 2022 President.
