The time is almost here. Our 2021 Hybrid April Business Conference is right around the corner, and I’m elated to share some exciting event details. We have a stellar line-up of speakers and special guests that will cover a range of thought-provoking and timely real estate topics.
First of all, if you are joining us in person or watching virtually, you may notice that our April Business Conference is a bit more bright and colorful than usual. Spoiler alert. This, of course, is intentional. It’s a nod to our conference theme, No boundaries. No borders. And it’s a nod to the pillars on which our theme stands, diversity and inclusion. EVERYONE is welcome and encouraged to participate!
As I’ll explain in greater detail at the conference, I am committed to uniting our over 23,000 members—individuals with colorful backgrounds and beautifully unique experiences—under the principles of diversity and inclusivity. These principles are central to the future success of Missouri REALTORS®. By inviting everyone to the table and creating space for all ideas, we dismantle the boundaries and borders. I am eager to engage in these conversations next week and to set goals regarding diversity, equity and inclusion.
This year’s Opening General Session will feature another important conversation. We are very excited to have Missouri Governor Mike Parson join us in-person to discuss our state’s recovery from the Coronavirus Pandemic, important legislative issues for this session, including the recent landlord relief he signed into law, and much more. And if that’s not reason enough to either attend or watch the Opening General Session, we’ll end the event with the RPAC Awards Program, followed by a toast to our Advocacy Success.
At our Emerging Issues Forum, Keynote speaker, internationally regarded, Rob Hahn will join us to address the contemporary issues impacting your work as a Missouri REALTOR®, including Zillow acquisitions and other market disruptors. Rob is an expert on all things associations, multiple listing services and technology. He is known to challenge the status quo and to empower companies to innovate and operate at unprecedented levels.
